Track 13 : Reels
The Porthole of the Kelp, The Maids of Mitchelstown
The first tune has a long association with Clare fiddle playing. Bobby Casey is sometimes named as the composer, but I have been unable to confirm the attribution.
Joe Ryan recorded The Maids of Mitchelstown on 'Ceol an Cláir'. Joe, from near Inagh, is another musician Kitty remembers from the local house dances of the 1940s.
