Track 1 : Jigs

The Newport Lass, Mist on the Meadow, The Legacy

The first tune is sometimes called the Maid of Athlone. The piping of Jimmy O'Brien-Moran helped me giving shape to it during the early 80s.

Mist on the Meadow we picked up from playing it in Gleeson's for the sets with Jackie Daly.

A recording of Bobby Casey and Tommy McCarthy playing a mighty duet of The Gallowglass and The Legacy, recorded by Reg Hall during the early seventies, brought back the final tune for us.
