The Kitty Hayes tribute concert in Glor in Ennis, Co Clare was a big success. A big thanks you to everyone who turned up for it : friends, neighbours and everyone else.

Kitty Hayes Tribute Concert in Glor, Ennis Co Clare

Following the success of the Bantry appearance the Irish Music Centre Glor in Ennis is organising a tribute concert. Josephine Marsh (fiddle, accordeon), Eoin O'Neill (bouzouki), Dympna O Sullivan (concertina), Mick Kinsella (harmonica, concertina) and Peter Laban (pipes) will be appearing with Kitty for a full concert on November 15th 2007. Tickets from the Glor boxoffice.

Tom Munnelly

Tom Munnelly, collector of song and folklore, wit and overall great and generous human being was laid to rest in Ballard Cemetary in Miltown Malbay on Saturday September 1st.

Tom was a friend who gave us great support. We're forever grateful for his help and for being who he was.

Our condolences and thoughts go out to Annette, Éadaoin, Tara and Colm.

Kitty Hayes, Peter Laban, Eoin O Neill (bouzouki) and Mick Kinsella (harmonica and concertina) were invited by Martin Hayes, the artistic director of the festival, to appear at The Masters of Tradition Festival.

The documentary on Kitty's life and music in the Sé mo Laoch series is scheduled for broadcast on TG4 for the 8 th of October 10 pm. The program will be repeated the following Tuesday at 8 pm

Appearances during the summer

Peter and Kitty were joined by Mick Kinsella (harmonica) and Maurice Coyle (guitar) for an appearance at the Galaconcert at the Feakle Festival. The extremely enjoyable appearance was filmed by TG4 and part was broadcast in the stations Feilte series.

We were also happy to make our annual appearance at the Nell Galvin Festival in Moyasta.
